decided to actually use this blog (that no one knows about) to track my Dec. 2017.
today i missed San Francisco. today i felt friendless.
mom and the kids came to work for lunch with me. Jack and I played foosball.
got a few things done at work, but nothing spectacular.
and then...a women's event at church.
they mean so well.
and it makes me feel like crap.
we did the service part of the night in oh about 15 minutes. then it was mix and mingle. i literally sat at a table all.by.myself. for a good ten minutes. in a room filled with women. chit chatting. filling out some dumb survey. then they had cupcakes and gave out gifts.
i went into it with a bad attitude. left pretty much the same. i did meet a few women.
BUT, it just makes me feel SO out of place. and lonely. and makes me miss the friends i do have who are not here.
i know it takes a long time to make a true friend somewhere.
i'm just not sure those types of women's events are for me. but i also don't want to be a snubber and be too good for it either.
here's to making room for grace for women's ministry events...
